Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are human-made and naturally occurring chemical compounds. Usually most scents or odors, not due to cooking, are of VOCs, and high levels of these compounds deter the indoor air quality and your health.

VOCs are airborne compounds that originate from housekeeping, maintenance, and building products made with organic chemicals. These compounds are released not only from products that are being used, but also from products that are in storage.
In sufficient quantities, VOCs can cause eye, nose, and throat irritations, headaches, dizziness, visual disorders, memory impairment; some are known to cause cancer in animals; some are suspected of causing, or are known to cause, cancer in humans. At present, not much is known about what health effects occur at the levels of VOCs typically found in public and commercial buildings.
What a VOC Test Includes
Our test consists of an Indoor Air Quality Assessment in order to compute the TVOC count. This will identify the total number of VOCs present within a building. If laboratory analysis determines the TVOC level is high, we will then proceed with further testing in order to determine the source of the contaminants. From here we will be able to provide results as well as recommendations for remediation, bringing the TVOC count to a healthy livable environment.
